**The syntax of the SUMX2MY2 function is:**

=SUMX2MY2 ( array_x, array_y)

In this formula, the arguments are two sets of numbers, which may be entered in the formula either as cell references containing the numbers or even the actual numeric values. In supplying the argument, you must remember that the two ranges of values should be of equivalent length.

You have to take note that if you have entered non-numeric values in the formula including cells which contain text representations of the numeric values, these values and the values in the other range which correspond to that are ignored.

^{2}– 3^{2}) + (2^{2}– (-1^{2})) + (3^{2}– 4^{2}), giving the result of 12. Then the function will automatically return the result which is 12. - You can also use the formula in this way, =SUMX2MY2 (A1:A3, {2;1;0}). The function will calculate for the answer in this manner: (5
^{2 }– 2^{2}) + (2^{2}– 1^{2}) + (3^{2}– 0^{2}), giving the result of 33. The function will return the result which is 33.
